YNS Hop for Hope!

Hello!  Welcome to the Your Next Stamp Hop for Hope Blog Hop!  We are releasing a very special set today in honor of breast cancer awareness month.  This set was created by YNS illustrator Fhiona Galloway, who is currently battling breast cancer herself.  We are dedicating our hop to this very special lady, along with all of the other amazing women who are fighting this difficult fight.  We have several special guests joining us so you won’t want to miss all of the gorgeous creations!

The Fight Like a Girl stamp set retails for $15.00 and Karen is donating $3.00 from each sale towards cancer research.  In addition to all that goodness, Karen is offering up a $20 gift certificate to YNS to one lucky person who comments on each blog on the hop. Are you ready to see what I made with this adorable stamp?

Now it’s time to hop on over to Jen's blog!  Thank you so much for joining us for this special hop, and don’t forget that by purchasing this adorable set, you are helping to find a cure for this terrible disease!

YNS Fun Friday: In the meadow...

...we can build a snowman! That's just what I've done with the following goodies from Your Next Stamp: Your Next Die Tree Trio, Fence & Whimsy Star dies. As soon as I started using the skinny tree trunk from the Tree Trio set I knew I had to use them as snowman arms, and that's where it all started. Ü

My meadow scene also includes a paper pieced pair of mittens from Celebrate The Season, Stickles for a little sparkle, stick pin, ric rac, buttons, twine and a hand cut scarf from the wonderfully whimsical patterned papers of Authentique's Festive 6x6 pad. The 'snow' is none other than torn pieces of a glassine bag, and the authentic BINGO card was a gift from my BSF, Leigh!

BE SURE to stop over at the YNS Blog for the last week of this month's Fun Friday theme: Bring On The Snow fun, YNS style! Thanks for stopping by today.

TCP Tuesday 232: NUTS About You!

I just love this week's TCP Tuesday challenge set by our dear, sweet Julie because it involves two things I love: TCP stamps and the possibility of using my Silhouette Cameo! Julie's challenge is to make a Fall-Themed Shaped Card, so duh, my Cameo was the only way to go, right?!

My 'NUTS About You!' card involved an acorn cut file from the Silhouette Online Store along with the CutUps Circus Panels die set, sentiments from Happy Camper and some fun patterned paper and recycled corrugated cardboard from an empty Bota Box of Pinot Grigio--another favorite of mine, snort!

I really love this challenge and hope you get a chance to play along as well! Link up your card over at Alma's blog when you finish up, and/or use keyword: TCPTUES232 over at Splitcoast, so we can see what you've created using Julie's challenge. You can also visit the TCP Member Co. Forum for complete TCP Tuesday 232 details.

Thanks for stopping by...y'all know I'm nuts about you!

TCP Tuesday 231: Have a Cuppa!

Jen has an inspiration challenge for us as this week's TCP Tuesday hostess and here's what I was so inspired to create:
I started with a cut file from Silhouette and then added a CutUps Sunflower Rosette and fishtail sentiment banner (A Cuppa) to spruce things up a bit. Who wouldn't want a Pumpkin Spice Latte or Hot Cider in this cozy cup, huh?! Inside there's a little room for a gift card to your fav coffee house. Oops, almost forgot my dotted cup...compliments of Admit One.

Here's to another beautiful week of all things autumn!

Moose You in Alaska!

I'm always reminding myself to find the good in every situation...I'm a work in progress...it takes alot of reminding! Anyway, having my daughter way far away in Alaska has made me realize (here's the good) that her current location is serving for some fun inspiration: moose, trees, snow, more snow, more moose...you see, right? Ü

Here's the laundry list:
Have a great weekend!

YNS Fun Friday: Believe!

This month's Fun Friday theme is Let It Snow, so I'm featuring a little something fun to sprinkle on the snow the night before Christmas: Magic Reindeer Food, of course! I've seen so many cute packaging ideas for Magic Reindeer Food already this year and here's my version starring Cory Reindeer, one of the latest and greatest new stamp lines at Your Next Stamp, along with a sentiment from Celebrate the Season.

Here's a side view which shows the Your Next Die Bookmark/Tag Layered Die Set in action. I die cut a folded piece of kraft cardstock, leaving the bottom edge of the die hanging slightly over the fold of the cardstock so it didn't cut through, leaving a double-in-length, double ended book mark that I was then able to score 1/2" from either side of the middle fold to create a 'base'. I think you'll see what I'm talking about when you look at the side view:
I did the same type of 'omitting' (if you will) with the scalloped end of the medium size bookmark tag below for the Magic Reindeer Food verse:

Other fun details include the Your Next Die Whimsy Star die cuts, black gingham ribbon, mini jingle bells and of course, a tube of that sparkling reindeer food! Please leave me a comment with any questions you might have about the construction of my MRF packaging and I'll do my best to help you out!

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog for all of today's Fun Friday participants, and then have yourself a fun weekend!

YNS New Release Hop

Welcome to the YNS New Release Blog Hop! You may have hopped here from Veronica's blog where you were treated to some fabulous goodies, I'm sure! When you're done here, you'll hop on over to Susan's blog for fun chatter and fabby eye candy! Refer to the hop order and links at the bottom of the post.

I am not kidding you when I say that you are definitely going to go bonkers over this release, so without further chatter, I'm going to show you something I made using Celebrate the Season -- a fun, whimsical set featuring traditional Christmas cookie images and coordinating sentiments. I've used two of the images on the apron pocket and on the recipe card itself. Other goodies on my 'baking apron' include a die cut evergreen tree from the newly released Your Next Die Tree Trio, buttons, sewing and fishtail banners.
The fonts used on the recipe card are Learning Curve and Courier New, and I think they compliment the vintage feel of the Authentique Festive 6x6 papers perfectly, giving that old fashioned country Christmas look I was aiming for with this apron. I think it could easily sit on a mini easel in the corner of your kitchen, holding those beloved family recipes that are reserved for the holidays. Call me sappy sentimental!

Be sure to check out the YNS Blog for all of the fantastic deals Karen has going on at the YNS Store and don't forget to visit and comment on each of the DT blogs for your chance to win prizes!

TCP Tuesday 230: Miss Ewe, Kendra!

My dearest daughter decided to spread her wings a bit further and flew north to Alaska...the University of Alaska at Fairbanks to be exact, where's she's currently a student. Of course we're all missing her around here, but we're doing a little Skype-ing weekly which is a great way to keep in touch. There's just something about 'seeing' your loved ones, versus the usual texts and phone calls that gives a little extra security...seeing is believing, I guess! Anywhoo, I took this week's TCP Tuesday sketch by Amy Sheffer as an opportunity to send Kendra a little reminder that we're thinking of her...and missing her, too!

Love this sheep in her muffler, all sassy and warm! The image is from Sheepish, and I've also added a few CutUps for some fun embellishments: Snowflake Lace Paper, Apron Border and Easy Rosettes. Here's a little closeup of the embellishment detail...love those mini snowflakes and the crispness of the fishtail banner!

Thanks for stopping by today!

YNS Sneak Peek: Full of Color & Hope!

Welcome to sneak peek day 1 for the upcoming new release at YNS next Tuesday! I'm featuring two new products: Full of Color (sentiment) and Your Next Die Trees! I'm in love with these trees...in.love. I decided to fore-go traditional fall colors for a chance to honor all of the strong, beautiful women out there fighting cancer, including those who've beaten it! My mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent her first chemo treatment yesterday, so yes, this is near and dear to my heart and on my mind!
♥Think Pink ♥

Please stop by the YNS blog today for a complete list of  today's sneak peeks, and be sure to stop back on Tuesday for the new release blog hop!
