MFT Teaser Time Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of Teaser Time Week with My Favorite Things when we'll be teasing you with previews all of the new stamp sets and Die-namics that will be available on August 6th at 10 PM EST in the MFT Boutique, so sit back and enjoy! You'll find full graphics of each product featured for today's teaser products, links to the Design Team members teasing along, and information about winning sweet MFT cash at the MFT blog, so be sure to stop over when you're finished.

Today's feature stamp sets and Die-namics include MPD Timeless, MPD Time Pieces Die-namics, Plaid Builder Background, Pierced Square STAX Die-namics and MPD Gears Stencil. I have a masculine card to share with you today that features Timeless, Grand Greetings, Plaid Builder Background and Blueprints 6.

My Black Licorice card base is layered with a Fuse Green layer cut from the largest rounded rectangle from Blueprints 6. After stamping a clock face in Steel Blue onto the Fuse Green layer, I embossed one of the clock face elements stamp from Timeless with copper embossing powder to pull in the vintage copper brad securing the Black Licorice tab from Blueprints 6 that tops the Steel Grey layer.

Keeping with a masculine look, I added two angled flags cut from another element of Blueprints 6, one in Black Licorice and the other in Whip Cream, stamped with the Plaid Builder Background in Steel Blue. The sentiment is from an absolutely awesome set being teased later this week from Lisa Johnson Designs (a must-have, folks), and it is stamped in Black Licorice ink. Love the combo of Steel Grey, Steel Blue and Black Licorice, accented with Fuse Green - yum!

Inside of the card boasts more of those tailored rectangles from Blueprints 6 in Steel Grey, stamped with diagonal stripes from Plaid Builder Background, and Fuse Green, stamped with a clock face from Timeless. The sentiment is from Inspired by Time.

There you have day 2 of Teaser Time week with MFT! I hope you've enjoyed my masculine take on a few of today's sets and Die-namics and will stop back tomorrow for a fun little 'eek'-y Halloween card I've got for you!  Thanks for your sweet comments, I love to hear what you're thinking!

Wednesday Stamp Club {Journey}

Welcome to this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch #135 post!  I had a bit of clean and simple fun with the sketch, my BSF Steel Blue ink, and a few new goodies coming your way at next week's (August) release. Be sure to keep up with all of the Teaser Time happenings as well as today's WSC sketch and design team participants at the MFT blog.
I've stamped a Primitive Cream card base with Mona's Collage Backgrounds in Steel Blue ink and topped it with a Die-namics Traditional Tag cut from the same Primitive Cream card stock.

The tag is layered with stamps from Timeless, Enjoy the Journey and Plaid Background Builder in Steel Blue ink. I've also used a fun mix of Die-namics from World Traveler (anchor), Time Pieces (gear& eyelet at top) and Layered Treat Tag (fishtail flag). A double strand of hemp cord at the top finishes it off nicely.

Inside is a rectangle layer of Steel Blue card stock stamped with a clock face from Timeless in awesome new Whip Cream Pigment ink (let me hear you say 'yah'!!) and a combined sentiment from Enjoy the Journey in Steel Blue ink.

As always, I hope I've inspired you to pick up your crafty fingers and try out this week's sketch for a chance at 1) enjoying yourself immensely in the process, and 2) winning some MFT cash to spend as you wish at MFT Boutique!  Have a great day, and make your plans NOW to stop back for tomorrow's Teaser Time post!

August Teasers Day 1

Welcome to day 1 of Teasers Week with My Favorite Things! For the next 7 days we'll be teasing you with all of the new products from the upcoming release on Tuesday, August 6th at 10pm EST, so sit back and enjoy! You can find links to each of the designers sharing Teasers with you over at the MFT blog. In addition to the link list, you'll also find full graphics of each product featured for that day as well as information about winning sweet MFT cash along the way!

Today's Teaser Time products include: LJD Splendid Sunflower and coordinating Die-anmics, PI Pretty Pumpkin, Blueprints 6 and MPD Graduated Stars Stencil. I'm teasing you today with Pretty Pumpkin and Blueprints 6 Die-namics

I started my card with a Black Licorice base and then layered elements of Blueprints 6 in Steel Grey, Orange Fizz, Kraft and more Black Licorice. Even the buttons are part of Blueprints 6! If you're wondering about that cute spider and her web in the upper left corner, it's part of another new Die-namics - Paper Bag Peek-a-Boos, which you'll be seeing more of later this week!

Using Inge's MFT Academy tutorial, coloring on Kraft with colored pencils, I colored in Pretty Pumpkin using a mish-mash of colored pencils from my stash and son George's collection. It's a start and a technic that I'd definitely like to accomplish a bit more using grown up colored pencils, wink! Finally, her skirt is paper pieced with a scrap of Steel Grey card stock stamped with another new set you'll be seeing LOTS of - Plaid Builder Background in Steel Blue ink.

The finished inside of the card uses the rounded rectangle elements of Blueprints 6 in Kraft and Steel Grey with a sweet Fishtail Flag in Orange Fizz acting as a landing pad for my sparkly sweet spider from Paper Bag Peek-a-Boos in Black Licorice spritzed with a coat of Mix-ables Steel Shimmer Mist. Her web string is the curvy balloon string from the exclusive Party Balloons set stamped in Steel Blue.

I hope you've enjoyed today's Teaser Time and make plans to stop back later for my WSC card because I'll be teasing you with a few more goodies!

Wednesday Stamp Club 134

If things look a little different here today, it's just me messing around with different designs on Blogger. Gotta change things up a bit. Let me know what you think!

Welcome to Wednesday Stamp Club, and thanks for stopping by to see me today!  I've got a clean and simple design with a splash of rainbow using this week's sketch. The MFT blog has links to everyone playing as well as all the information you need to play along for your chance to win some MFT cash-ola.

I opted for the Die-namics Pretty Pocket in lieu of the central circle called for on the original sketch and topped it with a scroll-y 'hi' from the Happy Hellos Die-namics. All of the white portions are cut from Smooth White card stock and the Lemon Drop layer is stamped with LJD Art Expression Text in coordinating Lemon Drop ink.

After stamping my delicious MFT inks in a rainbow of color (see links below) using one of the many brushstrokes from Abstract  Art and overlapping each brushstroke just enough to get an additional color, I stamped over the top with the Western Backgrounds denim stamp in Steel Blue ink, stamped off once. I really love the extra bit of texture it gives the pocket. How about those yummy buttons?! I could eat 'em for snack. Just got a fresh stash and couldn't wait to throw them together here in Razzle Berry, Limeade and Orange Fizz!

Inside is a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Art simply stamped in Black Licorice ink atop a trio of brushstrokes from Abstract Art in Razzle Berry, Orange Fizz and Lemon Drop inks with a paint drip in Blu Raspberry. Super simple.

Thanks for stopping by today, and remember to get inky with this week's sketch! Throw your hat into the ol' ring for some MFT cash...you're gonna need it for the upcoming release in August, and it will be here before you know it!  As always, click on the links below to take you directly to that product at MFT Boutique for fast, easy shopping with MFT's Best Price Guarantee!
