CASology: Journey

Happy Friday, all! I hope you have fun things in store for the weekend. We're actually heading to Madison today for a visit with my oldest son, so today's card is very appropriate for the occasion as my entry for the current CASology cue card | Journey

I couldn't dig out my Reverse Confetti Seaside Confetti Cuts anchor die fast enough upon seeing the challenge and paired it perfectly with a sentiment from My World. I'm in love with this combo, and every time I read 'adventure awaits' I can't help but think of the movie Up...best love story ever!

CAS(E) This Sketch - Waving Hello

I love sketch challenges and haven't played along with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge for far too long! And, since I haven't given much love to the adorable octopus from Reverse Confetti's Seaside, I thought it was time to get him inky (he he).

I started by die cutting an opening in an A2 size panel with the rounded rectangle from Class Act Confetti Cuts and then layered a Wonky Double Edge Scallop Border Confetti Cuts wave behind it that I also stamped with Whole Lotta Dots. Once my ocean view was set, I stamped and die cut mr. octopus using the Seaside stamp set and coordinating Seaside Confetti Cuts die. Finally, I lowered down a hand trimmed panel with the sentiment stamped in the same ink as the ocean wave layer.

Color Throwdown - One With Nature

It's Wednesday, and that means a new Color Throwdown Challenge starts today! I'm using a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp that I love, love, love - One With Nature.

I started by stamping the tree skeleton in black and then stamped the solid tree center in the trio of challenge colors in an offset fashion. The sentiment is also from the same set, stamped and embossed in white on a scrap of black cardstock. Clean and simple like enjoying nature should be.

Ok, now it's your turn to give the challenge colors a whirl. They sure are yummy aren't they? If you're looking for more inspiration, simply click on the links below to see what the CTD team has done.

Sweet Stamp Shop - Lil Moon

Happy Monday! I've got a sweet little card to share with you all today featuring the newly released Lil Moon stamp set from Sweet Stamp Shop. I stamped, watercolored and fussy cut the adorable moon image and layered it on a tag stamped with the sentiment included in the set. There are cute little star stamps also part of the set that I clear embossed here and there on the black layer. Color Throwdown 402 - Hi There

It's Wednesday, and that means a new Color Throwdown Challenge starts today! I've used one of my favorite Dawn Machell designed stamp sets from Reverse Confetti - Too Cute To Spook because the challenge colors reminded me a bit of Halloween although I didn't end up with a Halloween themed card, and that's called stretching your stamps!

I started by watercoloring a background in the blue and green shades and then colored and cut the images from Too Cute To Spook using the coordinating Confetti Cuts - Too Cute To Spook. Since I decided to NOT go with a Halloween look, I combined a sentiment from Bear Hugs and clouds from Weather It Together. I love mixing and matching the Dawn Machell line of stamps and dies!

Color Throwdown 401 - Celebrate!

Happy Wednesday and welcome to this week's Color Throwdown Challenge! Today just happens to also be my BFF's birthday (Happy Birthday, Jane!), so I thought I'd put together a celebratory card for the occasion using SugarPea Designs SugarCut - Celebrate die.

I watercolored stripes in the challenge colors on a SugarCuts - Chatterbox Journal Card speech bubble and then spattered extra drops of water here and there. On top of that, I layered the SugarCut - Celebrate die cut in glitter gold and a single vellum SugarCut - Party Banner. Finally, I added star sequins from the sequin mix - Warm Golden Glow Sparkly Shaker.

We'd love to see your take on the Color Throwdown Challenge, so please using keyword CTD401 if you upload to public galleries and #colorthrowdown & #ctd401 on social media. Click on the links below for even more inspiration!

Reverse Confetti July SFYTT

Happy Monday!

It's time for a new Sketch For You To Try, so come on out and play along for a chance to win free product from Reverse Confetti when you use this month's sketch in combination with Reverse Confetti stamps and/or Confetti Cuts dies.

I couldn't wait to ink up Mermaid Wishes again, sigh, she melts my heart! She's a perfect match with the Scalloped Tag Layer Confetti Cuts, so I used that as the vertical sketch layer and bits of washi tape for the horizontal layer. I once again used my handy-dandy Wonky Double Scallop Border Confetti Cuts die to create a wave edge at the top of the watercolored layer.

I really wanted the sentiment to blend in with the watercolored background layer, so I stamped it in tone on tone ink and love the result!
Click on over to the Reverse Confetti blog for even more inspiration for this month's SFYTT and HERE for the link up tool so we can see what you've created!
